Fabricio Werdum to appeal against his loss
Fabricio Werdum lost to Alistair Overeem at UFC 213. The former heavy weight champion did not look happy with the decision. He came very close to finishing Overeem in the third round itself. He looked comfortable mostly. The judges, however, seemed to have different thoughts. Apart from the third round where they went in Werdum’s favor, Alistair Overeem was declared the winner due to a majority decision. Fabricio has appealed to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The Brazilian is currently sitting on a 1-1 record since losing his belt to Stipe Miocic. As of now, Overeem holds the edge having won two of the last three meetings between the two. Werdum is ready to fight Overeem a fourth time if required if the appeal does not work in his favor.
Robert Whittaker- the new hero of MMA

Although he was already down within the first two rounds, he fought back to secure an emotional victory against Yoel Romero. He started on this path since an early age, being a traditional martial artist before devoting himself to MMA. Robert Whittaker represents what most athletes lack in sport today- respect and sportsmanship. His next challenge lies in the form of British veteran Michael Bisping.
